Teens acting like teens should stay in YA and in minor roles in romance novels written for adults The plot and the tangled history were uite straightforward predictable and pleasant to read Just as Zoe’s characterisation and actions made sense so did Hugh’s although I never really connected with him either Dark writes well—competent is the word I want to use—but it lacks the spark that elevates a story above all others in my eyes I wouldn’t mind reading from her in the future I just doubt she’ll ever make it on my list of favourite authors

Legendary vineyard And her version of those long ago events is enough to make him uestion everything he thought he knewHugh can't let the past destroy his plans for the future Which me Emmie Dark in her second book gives us the story of a small town girl from a small winery who left the small stifling town of Tangawarra in a small nook of Australia under a HUGE cloud of suspicion Zoe was the 'bad girl' who seemingly made her mark everywhere she went in that small town and while they seemingly hated her for it every small town needs something to gossip aboutHugh Lawson the boy next door who also lived on a rival winery Lawson Estate was left with nary a clue as to where his first love left disappeared to all those years beforeNow Zoe is back in town albeit reluctantly and she must deal with the cloud of secrets that she was used to keeping shoved just beyond her reach ever since she left It's much easier to deal with it that way out of sight out of mind perhaps But it isn't just her secrets she has to deal with; small towns come with secrets of their ownEmmie's second book is one of redemption emotion secrets lies tragedy that ultimately as in all great romance novels culminate into a happy ending we wholeheartedly believe in and wish for ourselves The journey is never uick clean or easy but for those who seemingly strive or perhaps not to press on the reward is greatEmmie's natural talent continues to shine fine tuned and honed with each book character and heart rending good or bad situation This book deserves every one of the stars of my rating because it did what it was supposed to and did it well make me believe in all of the emotions I listed aboveEmmie's an intelligent writer who knew her subject and I learned a little something about wine making along the wayI can't wait to read from you
