The New Young American Poets An AnthologyE and vitality of the new generation of American writers The New Young American Poets features the work of forty poets born since 196. This anthology covers a lot of ground I used it as a reuired reading when I taught The Craft of Poetry There was something for everyone in this book It is slowly getting outdated and the poets included in it are not so new any but really it is still a fantastic read and a great introduction to different styles I would recommend this as a textbook to any teachers interested in introducing contemporary writers to their students
